Each yeast researcher should have their own supply of toothpicks. You'll have two screw-top jars for your toothpicks: one that is kept closed for unused toothpicks, and one that is kept open for used toothpicks waiting to be re-autoclaved.
New toothpicks come from Biochemistry Stores in the basement, and can then be put into jars and given to the student helper to be autoclaved. You'll need to put you initials on the jars.
